Spellcards: Suwako Moriya

Postby Suwako Moriya » 07 Aug 2011 03:00

Suwako's actions in battle can scarcely be described in one word. Although among the words one might use include “wild,” “destructive,” and “endless.” While she is known for her ability to create earth and water--even employing iron rings as weapons--Suwako is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Although finding a stable pattern to her movements is near impossible. One moment she might be striking from above, the next bursting from the ground geyser. Pairing this with her variety of manipulative powers as a mountain goddess and the Mishaguji curse gods under her control and one will see a recipe for potentially nightmarish encounters.

With regards to her in-battle personality, Suwako tends to treat the average duel as though it were a game. In a sense, it really is a game to her, but to her opponents it might seem that she is making fun of them with her unrelenting chuckles and smirks. It is entirely possible that she really is teasing those she battles, making the feeling all the moreso. Whether it is landing hits or afflicting the opponent with lower-level curses, one can expect to see that the little frog goddess is laughing her way through the conflict. While it is possible that she might engage in a danmaku battle for a serious reason, most of the time it is just for fun.
