The Scientist That Looks For Dreams

To engage in combat is to be prepared to end a life--to remove a possible subject of research from this world, but also to consider the psychological ramifications taken upon Rikako's emotional complex. She prefers to avoid engagements. Rikako despises harming others if she can avoid it. Directly, that is. She has no problem with setting drones up with kill orders, because it isn't her who has to make the decision to pull the trigger. This is why her base is a varitable juggernaut of annihilation, while she herself is a timid little researcher.

But, when Rikako is forced to fight, she will not second-guess herself. When the trigger is to be pulled, she will take aim and swiftfully dispatch her enemy--no cruelty, no emotion. Just the weapon and its target. Calm and collected; she will make certain that the combat situation is never such that she will be overwhelmed, no matter how many danmaku are in the air. Without a doubt it is impossible for her to keep her composure at all times, and to maintain control over a situation at all times, however, she makes the best of things with what she has.

Disliking magic and preferring to refrain from using it, she will fight with various weapons born from science. Specically, she prefers weapons that employ rapid firing high velocity plasma bolts, and the rocket pack that she uses to fly serves as a mobile weapons platform from which these bolts are fired. They are a bright blue, and shaped in a diamond pattern for maximum impact. She is not opposed to using any other manner of weapon, however, and will draw a blade with an edge of superheated plasma to use as a melee weapon for example.

She is not the most durable individual, being little more than a normal human who fights with advanced weapons. In spite of this though, her abilities make up for her frailty of constitution. Extreme agility and speed coupled with pinpoint accuracy ensure her battlefield longevity. She prefers to use her spellcards more strategically than blindly as some inhabitants of Gensokyo certainly do, and in order to engage them, swipes the card through a reader on the side of her thruster pack. In the event her life may be threatened, she will use her Magic to save herself, albeit begrudgingly.

Drone Assault [Round Gear α]
A drone based bullet that spins in a circle while being fired at the enemy, soaking up fire along the way.
Defensive Effect:Barrier Type (User) +2 Defense this turn. Costs 3 SP.

Drone Assault [Round Gear β]
A drone based bullet that spins around the user moving outwards, intercepting most bullets.
Defensive Effect:Protection Type (User) +2 Defense this turn, +4 Defense this turn, -2 Defense next three turns. Costs 4 SP.

Drone Assault [Homing Gear]
A spiked drone assault that homes in on the target and explodes on contact with a bullet or target.
Offensive Effect:Homing Type (Target) Roll attack twice, use the higher roll. Costs 3 SP.

Plasma Barrage [Pincer Shot χ]
A plasma bolt barrage that fires in an X pattern, multiple volleys firing in sequence.
Offensive Effect:Critical Type (User) Gains +3 Attack if attack roll is 8 or higher, not counting your Atk stat. Costs 4 SP.

Plasma Barrage [Pincer Shot φ]
A plasma bolt barrage that fires an X and also fires a swarm of circling bolts.
Defensive Effect:Counter Type (User) If evasion is successful, add half of your opponent's attack roll, rounded down to the nearest whole number, to your attack roll this turn. Costs 4 SP.

The Adept's Purist Wish [Science Believer]
An all out assault of all of the technology she bears with her at any given time.
Offensive Effect: Full-Power Type (User) Attack roll becomes 1d6+6 this turn. If opponent's defense roll is lower than half the user's attack roll, opponent takes +1 damage. Costs 5 SP.

The Adept's Intense Heart [Magical Science]
A desperation attack born of loss of emotional control in which she casts aside her policy of not using her Magic in order to release all of her pent up Magical energy in a single directed burst. The most powerful single attack that Rikako can use.
Offensive Effect:Lunatic Type (User) Attack roll becomes 3d6 this turn. Costs 5 SP.

The Adept's Ultimate Gambit [Hyperspace Arsenal]
Summoning her entire stock of weapons at will, this spell card serves as an absolute final assault through science.
Offensive Effect:Dense Type (User) Attack roll becomes 2d10 this turn. Costs 5 SP.
