[Ask First] An Introduction to Experimentation

Locations: Marisa Kirisame's House, Alice Margatroid's House, Kourindou, The Hakurei Shrine, Gate to Makai
Forum rules
The Forest of Magic is a place brimming with energy and power. The dense trees and deep magic that permeates the forest makes it almost suffocating, but also seems to attract a number of youkai. The forest isn't travelled by many, and only the strange or the magical choose it as their home. The forest is home to two magical beings, the human magician Marisa Kirisame and the youkai puppeteer Alice Margatroid. Marisa's house seems to double as a shop, an Anything-Goes type of store, but whether or not she does any actual business is something of a mystery. Kourindou, owned by Rinnosuke, is another shop on the edge of the Forest of Magic near the human village, and is frequently visited by humans and youkai alike. The Hakurei Shrine, cared for by the shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei, also resides in a thinner area of the forest, near the great Hakurei border.

Sharing. Hah! Sharing was for nerds and losers. There was no way in hell any other fairy, sisters or otherwise, was going to get her treats. Sunny was simply too proud of having forced Marisa to actually pay up. Knowing the witch she would have run off, thinking that Sunny would forget all about the promised treats. That was not the case at all. Sunny was a smart fairy!

"Huhuhu~" she chuckled as she took the bag of sweets. "I bet you didn't think I was gonna remember! But I did cuz it was important and I'm really smart!" she nodded, opening the bag and popping one of the yellow treats into her mouth.

"Mmmh~" she moaned with glee moments before her eyes went wide and her lips puckered. It was sour! not just sour but sour enough to magically pucker her lips against her will! She tried to pry them open with her fingers to no avail so she was left flailing with muffled screams. "M-mmmph! Mmgmmhmhp!"

And to think it would have been far more fun to have all the fairies of the forest pucker up like this all at the same time. Just think about it! Only muffled cries throughout the entire forest, giving all human and youkai kind a moment of peace. Even in the presence of a good idea, that was also a bad one as the idea of a mob of fairies also would be annoying. Cast away that idea.

So as precaution, she does in fact take the candies back from Sunny and places them under her hat, then holds out her hand as her broom is summoned to it, doing a few fancy twirls before slapping the bristles against the ground. Ninja witch is on the case! “Hmm, these were a bit disappointing. I was hoping that the transmuted sourness was so powerful it would cause you to implode, but it shows I need to train even harder.” The young magician grins. “I guess it does prove my magic ‘suck’ doesn’t it, little fairy?” Guess Marisa had this prank all planned out, or maybe this was the actual test to lure a fairy out and test the candy on her. So now, Sunny had a bad pun to go with the bad sourness.

“But don’t worry, after a few hours when the candy dissolves, your lips will be free to eat stranger’s candy and give out lame fairy insults. Now, unless you want to continue being my experiment fairy, you should go home, but feel free to stick around as well! I have this really spicy brand that’s called dragon’s breath! Or if you don’t want to help me with that, I need help creating an ice sculpture out of someone covered in water.” And the list goes on and on about how Marisa can commit more fairy abuse.

What a dumb little trick. Sunny cursed herself for even having the audacity to believe Marisa would uphold her promise. Sweets? What bullshit. Marisa didn't even let her keep the candies! Now Sunny was suffering with a clenched mouth, unable to do anything more than mumble. She had to get revenge. The little fairy would be sure to stuff poops in Marisa's bedsheets. For now she just dashes toward the witch, beating her small fists in her chest

The witch would blink a bit to a fairy attacking her chest due to a mouth being sealed shut from the super sourness of her special candy, but that was of no big surprise as that was expected of anything you play a dirty trick on. Marisa would do the exact same thing to anyone else just to show she doesn’t go down without a fight and nor does this unique fairy it seems.

With her classy grin, the magician with the western style sides to the sides to let sunny continue her charge and get her off balance as she wings her broom back with a bit of magical charge, swinging low before she cuts up the swinging path of the broom’s bristle side, seeking to bat Sunny with a minor amount of force that would at least send her back into the forest, hopefully causing the fairy to give up and retreat so she can get about to her usual day of pestering Reimu and maybe a few others nearby.

It's rough being a fairy. Under most circumstances one would think being cute was enough to get by. Of course not, as Sunny was being beaten senseless by the angry 'ol witch. Sunny wailed and threw wild punches at Marisa's midsection until those scratchy bristles came up into her face and caused her to tumble away, nose swollen from the force. However, she would not be downed so easily. She hopped back to her feet and dashed at Marisa under the power of her wings, aiming to push the witch onto the ground.

Should she do so, Sunny would then quickly mount Marisa and give her a bloody nose! It was only fair, right?

Most fairies tend to run away, but lately the witch has been encountering fairies that wish to fight back for small pranks like this which was surprising the first time she encountered this but now a second time she was to show the fairy she should have ran away when she had the chance.

While most of the wild punches didn't connect, the few that did wasn't too threatening to her health as they're just a reminder that the magical creatures of nature can lose their temper as well, though claiming that can't think as well is debatable as they don't have much thinking power to begin with, so she thinks.

When Sunny jumps back up, looking ready to counter the previous attack, Marisa was preparing for her move against it as her grip tightens on that broom handle. Then was the all out pounced attack as Marisa would just up into the air to graze the wing powered attack, quickly flipping into the air as she jabs out her open palm to launch a large star danmaku at Sunny's back, and like her usual tricks when it would come into contact with anything it will explode into a rain of mini-stars.

Marisa now sits upon her broom mid air, like a broom riding boss.

Sunny thought she had Marisa right where she wanted her. A surprise attack always worked! At least, it worked with other fairies. It seemed Marisa was a bit quicker than your average fairy. Sunny ended up dashing past the witch and was not able to react in time when Marisa made her counter-attack. The star slammed into Sunny's back, knocking the breath from her and burning a small hole in her dress when she ended up flooped on her belly.

"Ooof!" she groaned, rolling onto her back before pointing up at the witch, a twinkle of light on her fingertip. This grew to enormous proportions before erupting in a bright flash. Anyone with their eyes open would be instantly blinded. Sunny was a smart girl and shut her eyes. Smart little fairy~!

it isn't like the normal fairies in which are easy to deal with. Hell, most of those attacks would have made her pop by now, but stronger fairies like Cirno and Sunny seem to be far more resilient to weak attacks like Marisa was producing. Still, she is just a fairy and wasting too much energy on them would be foolish and telling someone that you got winded beating a fairy is just too embarrassing for someone of Marisa's level, not thinking about that fight with that one Ice Fairy.

All of this, and suddenly there was a bright light in which she tried to shield herself from, but she still gains to temporary blindness as everything is white to her, making her yell out in eye pain and just really upsetting her that a fairy like this caught her off guard. So what does an annoyed witch do with a fairy that pulled this trick onto her?

Well, what any power wielding person would do!

Pulling out that Mini-Hakkero her ans then using the other hand to stuff some mushroom mixture she keeps on her, the object glows as she aims down at the ground where she last remembers Sunny, with some magic mixed with in she would summon a fireball that hurls itself near Sunny, but not on target. Why waste this attack moment? Because it also explodes into a fireball, granting a roasted fairy if she were to move out of the radius of the explosive fireball.

It worked!

This is true victory; a sign that the gods did love the fairies. She could see that Marisa was blinded by her attack and she took this opportunity to make a quick counter. She took to the skies, rushing up at Marisa flat out. As her speed increased she soon reached the point of no return. Yes, she was mere feet from Marisa when the witch decided to let loose with her fireball.

Sunny's eyes went wide and she let out a scream, now a flaming fairy that hurtled into Marisa at great speed, knocking her for a loop!

And where it got interesting is that Marisa was still recovering one faded image at a time, only going by the scream and assuming the attack surprised the fairy, moving away from the sounds as she didn't want to be caught off guard too much, still open for attack until the whiten images begin to fade back into color, rubbing her eyes a few more times before the views of the forest colors come back, her house, and the wonderful flaming fairy.

Wonderful Flaming Fairy?

Yes, it seems that her attack that had no target base hit it's target, unsure how someone would let such a wild attack hit them but then again it is a fairy, so she decides to do what any noble human would do, keep fly over tot he fairy and keep on knocking her around with the broom until she was knocked out puts out the fire.

But should the fairy be knocked out while the fire is being dealt with, then it's clearly Sunny's fault.
